To get to the access road and the mountain quickly:

Leave our driveway, and drive to Route 4. Take a right on Route 4, going towards Rutland. Take your first left (it is pretty quick!), onto West Hill Road. Drive up West Hill until the end. Take a right onto the access road to get to the mountain.

To use the Hot tub:

Press mode button until it says “std”. Then, push pump 1, pump 2, and air blower buttons. The maximum temperature is 104. You can increase the temp by pressing the arrow button up.  It will take a little bit of time to reach maximum temp (10 minutes maybe). When you are done, please press each pump button and air blower to off. Also press mode button until it says “slp”.  Please read the hot tub rules in the info book at the house!

Our Recommendations:

If you want fancy food, get a reservation at Hemingway's.  Or, even better, Simon Pearce in Queechee (30 minute drive), which is located overlooking a river and falls- gorgeous views, reservations, recommended.

If you want to cook, got to the organic farm (take right on to Rt 4, and farm is a minute up on your right).

If you want to drink, go to The Lookout on the access road- they also have pool and live music and good bar food!

If you want to drink with style, go to The Garlic on the access Road. Fancy little yummy tapas, too!

Breakfast is usually PPeppers- okay, very touristy (access road), but Blanche and Bills Pancake House on Route 4 is a unique experience, as is Sugar N Spice- they make their own maple syrup and have an outdoor deck to eat outside when it is nice out. To get there, take a right on Route 4, drive about 15 minutes towards Rutland and you will see it on your right.

For a fabulous drive with beautiful views worth every minute of the 30 minute (give or take a few) trip, drive to The Mountain Top Inn- http://www.mountaintopinn.com/. They have horseback riding and views of a lake from high up in the mountains.  They have brunch and lunch and dinner with outdoor seating. My lunch was not excellent, but the scenery made up for it!

For a dip in the pool, or some exercise and pampering go to the Spa at The Woods on the access road.  I think it is 15$/day to use their pretty pool, Jacuzzis, steam room, sauna, and work out facilities. They also have massage and manicures and pedicures and all that girlie stuff.
